President

Provides Board leadership by:

• ensuring smooth operation of the organization
• preparing for and running monthly general meetings
• creating meeting agendas to review with board/principal prior to meetings

• Liaison with Newton PTO council
• Work with Principal, Treasurer and PTO Board to create Annual PTO Budget and insure that organization operates within approved budget

• Manages mentoring and recruiting to insure that PTO has full board in place for next year
• Runs a training session in the summer for Board-elect to ensure a smooth transition to new board, including handing over all PTO documents electronically
