Available LEADERSHIP Positions

 

Co- President

Shares leadership role with other co-president(s), including running monthly meetings, planning events, allocating revenue, etc.

 Assumes Presidency in 2010/11.

 

Yard Sale Chief

Heads up October 17 yard sale - coordinating all volunteers. Three parents have volunteered to play major roles, and there will be plenty of other helpers.

 

Spiritwear Chief

Head up and promote LE spiritwear sales for all events. Re-order spiritwear, recruit people to sell at events, etc.

 

CASC co-Chair

Assist co-Chair Elaine Smith Purcell select and schedule arts and science performances school-wide

 

Silent Auction Chair

Heads up March Silent Auction fundraiser

 

Available COMMUNICATION Positions

 

Room Parent

Help Coordinator Michele Kfouri support classroom teachers; solicit donations and volunteers for classroom celebrations, events or projects. Welcome new families, phone-chain point person.

 

Hospitality

Help Secretary Vickie Ritterband write thank you notes fto various people and businesses that donate to the school.

 

PTO Newsletter

Contribute to Editor Heather Kelly’s regular columns.

 

Library Liason

Assist the school librarian in various ways, including helping children check books in and out of library, re-shelve books, etc.  

 

Available FUNDRAISING SUPPORT Positions

 

Yard Sale

(Oct. 17) Assist TBD Chief in planning and carrying out yard sale

 

Halloween Dance

(Nov. 1)  Assist Chair Melissa Fang (plan,decorate, sell tickets, raffles, food)

 

Silent Auction

(March 27) Assist TBD Chief with various duties for our major annual fundraiser.

 

Spiritwear

Assist TBD chief in selling, organizing and re-ordering LE t-shirts, hats, etc.

 

Available BUILDING AND GROUNDS Positions

 

Green Team

 

Co-chairs ELAINE SMITH PURCELL and ANDREW HARGENS Encourages recycling efforts and “green” habits at school and home. Helps out with fall and spring gardening events where students plant flowers, rake, mulch, etc. Also need someone with light carpentry skills. 

 

Gardening

Assist Co-chairs Elaine Smith Purcell and Andrew Hargens with school garden project.

 

Facility Improvement

Chair ANDREW HARGENS Meet with principal and Parks and Recreation to monitor playground, oversee repairs and request additional equipment. Organize occasional clean up of the playground, etc.

 

 

General:

 

Just contact me and I am willing to help for bake sales and any event support as necessary.
